No, not for most new registrations in 2026. You can walk in to any PhilSys Registration Center on a first-come, first-served basis.

Use a local portal only where needed, such as the Cebu PSA appointment site, or appt.philsys.gov.ph for ePhilID printing. Otherwise, just go in person.

Switch to a nearby walk-in center. Walk-ins are accepted in most areas even where appointment systems exist.

It is your TRN (Transaction Reference Number) receipt, given to you right after your biometrics are captured.

Yes. Registration is completely free. Never pay a fixer, since the service costs nothing.

Bring originals. One primary document is usually enough: a PSA birth certificate plus a photo ID, a passport, a driver’s license, or a UMID.
